Numbers do not lie. Mine aren't as well I guess, but just bewildering. My virtual space shows that blogging is on the up & up, 4 figure follower numbers, a quick scan of social media platforms will show you how millennials are at it, sharing, learning, teaching & earning blogging. When it comes to engagement though the 4 figure followers seem to evanesce, only the familiar faces show up. My physical sphere though is a different story, friends & family that I converse with about the topic are cognizant of the species called blogging but aren't engaged as much. Might have a read a blog or two & that's it. Its a new frontier of sorts that is being conquered but I guess there is need for easier accessibility for the beast to be completely tamed. Away from the numbers I have to say my experience has been beautiful & amazing. Authentic, hearty writes that leave you nostalgic & Inspired. I read a beautiful piece by @MonaKChishato, wow. Took me way back to my toddler days. Its refreshing, a mirror of sorts, you will find your mothers child somewhere in there.

As a writer I have to say my analysis is leaning towards writers lol. You can't however, talk about blogging in Africa & not talk about fashion & art curators. Fashion has by far the most numbers, trendy African designs, accessories & hair styles make them the most popular blogs especially among women. These virtual spaces have become prerequisites for the fashion savvy who need to make sure they are always at par with trends. Blogs have become vital sources of information & affordable internet would definitely boost the numbers. Photocredits:Google, freepik.com #DayNo13 #WinterABC #BloggingInAfrica @AfroBloggers
