The three things I wish I could do well are cooking, being patient & eating.

COOKING.

Growing up I remember my mom would berate me for being picky & fussy about what I ate. In most circumstances it would end in tears, she wouldn't take nonsense & refused to be blackmailed with tears. Her theory was you need to learn to be versatile. In times of scarcity you should be able to eat whatever is available. It's a fair theory, looking back lol. She let up as I grew older not really sure why, I guess as the last child I could push her buttons with leniency like that. A couple of decades later, viola still picky & fussy as they come with my food & proud too (chuckles).

There are 195 sovereign states recognized by the UN, 2 of them being none member-observer states. If you use other technicalities this number will end up between 215 to 254. An excess of seven billion human beings on earth. I'm sure you might be wondering if we are still talking about food & being fussy, yes we are still on course. Diversity, the premise for my fussiness your honor, with a plethora of cultures why should we be subjected & confined to a limited dishes when the world has a lot to offer. Of course my mother could not afford to indulge my proclivities like that neither can I completely, but that doesn't mean I'm quitting either. So you will find me learning always how to be a better chef. I figure it's only a fair ask to be a great cook as I insist on having a snob for a palate. Thank God for Google, YouTube, cooking channels, blogs, vlogs, social media & my brother. Information has been made easily accessible & learning new skills relatively easy. So you will find me often playing Jamie Oliver, experimenting is the mother of all good cooks. I particularly distaste monotony with my menu but the fiscally responsible me understands the practicalities around the issue. BEING PATIENT.

With this one not entirely convinced but here goes anyways. As I ponder on it my skepticism is reaffirmed but it's really "a thing I need to do well". Patience. I know it's not a typical "thing" per se but it's my thing I need to get sorted, no judging here let's keep it moving thank you. I easily get irritated & annoyed especially with individuals that aren't on the same wavelength. There are certain things I assume everyone should know, courses of action that may seem obvious, should that not be the case well yeah lol. However, someone once said to me, "just because you see red what makes you so sure that everyone else sees red?" We do not see things as they are but as we are. All our experiences form the premise upon which a " thing" is dissected & given subjective meaning &/or pertinence. Points of view will differ. Patience is a virtue indeed & the essence of a good character if I may. So I need to learn to be more accommodating, indulgent & naturing. So yeah that's my number two "thing" I wish I could do well.

EATING.

The last thing I wish I could do well is rather embarrassing though, it's eating. Well it's not like I can't eat per se but then again it's not like I can lol. I'm suck a messy eater it's not even funny. If I make the mistake of making a mental note of trying to have a clean slate, you guessed right. It goes horribly wrong. I need to wear a bib. This lovely trait I inherited from my mom, so I will nonchalantly point the finger in her direction.

See you on day five 😍.
